About Michael Flerchinger

Michael Flerchinger’s experience since entering public accounting has included audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements; income tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses; and consulting. He began his career in public accounting in 2003 after graduating from the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance. Immediately after graduating he began working in a Spokane CPA firm performing financial statement audit and consulting engagements. In 2006, after wanting to travel less for work, he joined Nichols Accounting where he focuses on tax planning, financial statements, and consulting with a focus on agri-business clients.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of CPA’s.

He grew up in North Idaho and spent his summers working on family and friend’s wheat and cattle ranches in the Washington Palouse region. This sparked much of his interest in the agricultural industry. Working with small family farms has given him a unique perspective into the complexities and issues often involved in a small family-run business, particularly agri-business. Michael and his wife own 40 acres in Vale, Oregon. They and their three boys raise numerous items including; cattle for selling club calves to 4-H and FFA students, hay, laying hens, fryer chickens, turkeys, and pork. He also enjoys doing outdoor activities with his family like skiing, snowshoeing, backpacking, and fishing.
